Harbor House
Harbor House is a community center located in the diverse, vibrant, urban San Antonio community of Oakland, and is a Christian based nonprofit organization that believes in holistic ministry as lived and taught by Jesus Christ. Through volunteering here, several New Hope founders and members first discovered and explored a sense of calling to urban life, work, and ministry back in the 1980's and 1990’s.

Bay Area Urban Project

The Bay Area Urban Project (BayUP), established by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in 1993, brings college students to the cities of the Bay Area for the summer to see what God is doing in our cities, to learn about God's heart for issues of justice and to participate in God's purposes in practical ways.  Josh Harper, a New Hope member, led the program for five years before recently moving on to be IVCF’s National Coordinator for Urban Projects. New Hope consistently hosts a team of students who live in the neighborhood and work with the Church's summer youth programs.  New Hope is now home to many alumni of this project or similar projects in other parts of the country. BayUp was first known as Oakland Urban Project but has since expanded to the larger Bay Area.

Youth Employment Partnership
YEP is a charter high school, vocational training site, AmeriCorp job site, headquarters for the Mayor's Summer Job Program, and host of New Hope's Sunday worship. The YEP building was originally a National Dollar Store built in 1950 and then later a Volunteers of America site.

East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation

Since 1975, EBALDC has built and renovated 900 affordable apartments and townhouses in 13 developments, and 230,000 square feet of space for community organizations and small businesses. One of these developments, Oak Park Apartments, is located behind New Hope's church site and was the site of much of New Hope's pre- and early-history.

The Evangelical Covenant Church
New Hope's denomination is headquartered in Chicago and has about 750 churches and 100,000 members on five continents. Originally founded by Swedish American immigrants, the Covenant Church is now rather dramatically multiracial and multicultural. Churches include many leading Asian American congregations such as Newsong (SoCA and Bangkok), Great Exchange (San Jose), Cambridge Community Fellowship Church (MA), and Parkwood (IL).
