Cells in New Hope

Cells are a primary place for community, connection and growth in New Hope. The New Testament depicts Christianity as a vibrant community characterized by shared life. Believers met together in homes, broke bread, and had everything in common. Cells are a place of building community, so that people in the church are known and cared for. Cells are also a place to grow through taking discipleship seriously and being challenged. The Apostle Paul suggests that the church is like a body that grows as each member uses his or her gifts to build it up. In the intimate setting of cells, we seek to create ways for church members to challenge and build one another up.

Ephesians 4:11-12
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.

As a cell church, we believe that we can best encounter Jesus through the intimacy of small groups. Cells are the primary place of membership and belonging in the church. Each cell has a unique identity that springs from the diverse backgrounds, experiences and gifts of its members. Cells are where members reflect on scripture, pray together, and provide support and encouragement to one another. It’s also a place where leaders develop and members grow in all the spiritual gifts. We encourage cell members to invite their family and friends to join.  Our hope is that as cells grow in number that there are new members ready to lead, cells can multiply.

We currently have cells that meet every Thursday and Friday evening:

Thursdays Nights

Holy Ground | 7-9pm | changes monthly
A cell focused on studying God’s Word, mutual discipleship, and enjoying life together.  A group of us also work with the youth on Friday nights - not a requirement to be a part of our cell, but it’s an opportunity for outreach interested.  "We invite people to a commitment of prayer for both the daily needs of young people and for the abundance and healing in their futures."
Led by Greg, Wendy, and Wayne.

SPANGLISH | TBD | TBD
We want to bring the beauty of the neighborhood's Spanish-speaking cultures and the love and faith of these people into worship together with us. We are currently in a rebuilding phase. If you are interested in praying about this cell, please contact Dan.

Friday Nights

SEAZNS | 7-9pm | Shuli's house
Grows through seeing the gospel through each person’s cultural lens.  We value hospitality and spiritual support, in whatever season you are in.  "We hope to create a comfortable and safe place to be together in.”

P25 (From Philippians 2:5) | 6-8:30pm | P25 meet in cell members' homes
